It's not that I don't like liberals. I've just always identified more with moderates. You're not gonna be able to get things done in Washington if you're unwilling to work with the other side (hence one of the many reasons why Republicans are so bad at running the country and why I can't see myself being one of 'em in this lifetime).

Being liberal doesn't mean being unwilling to work with the other side. It just means being more to the left. You can still compromise.

Republicans in general don't compromise. But honestly, if anything that's been a strenth of theirs. When a republican gets in office, they do everything to push their agenda through, fuck everyone else. When a dem gets in office, it's time to try and play nice. And you wonder why people don't want to vote for them.

I think we need a strong liberal. I think a Democrat move (even more) towards the center is a very dangerous move. But then, I'm a liberal, so I have somewhat of a bias too. But I think that's why they're losing voters.
